Collective Haul

Sorry I've been away for so long!
This is a bit of a months hauls. Even though some items I've mentioned many many times here! :)
I'm not going to do swatches of any products but if you want to see a top on, or see a lipstick on, by all means don't hesitate to ask, if you'd like a review on any product, or swatches I'll do them! Just comment below, email (abarrymakeup@gmail.com) or Tweet me (@ABarryMakeup)

I've been bold this month and spent alot!!! I don't even remember what I bought! This is all I remember but there was ALOT more!!

I bought a tiny amount of clothes and a weensy amount of accessories, so here's my clothes:

First off I was at the River Island sale and I got this top. I plan on wearing it with a pencil skirt of some sort. I just thought it was sooo cute and it was a steal, it was €27, reduced to €12.

Then going back a month ago I was in New Look at the sale and got this fabby dress which I am in  love with! It's perfect for summer, and again this was only €12.
To match I got these beautiful wedges in Penneys (Primark). They have browny, dark greyish ones as well and I want to get them too! I got these for €23.

I got some leather jackets in Penneys (Primark) too on sale, Ohh me I'm such a bargain hunter. I got a grey one and a black one. They were down from €23 each to €9.

And here is my Accessories and Nail Polishes.

Now onto my little tiny bit of Topshop accessories shopping in the sale, I love all these, and they were all so cheap. I'm super happy, I was over the moon about the Leaf Necklace because I wanted it before the sale, and was going to buy it about two weeks ago but I don't know why I waited, but I did and it was a bargain from €18.50 before the sale, down to €4.50. Then I got two rings, the first is this cool deer one and it was €8.50 down to the most bargain able price of €1.50. As well as that I got this really classy ring that was €10.50 reduced to €1.50.

I got two Nail Polishes by OPI as well in a little set! I got OPI Ink and You Don't Know Jacques. Both of these I absolutely love! OPI Ink on my toesies, and You Don't Know Jacques on my fingers, is my Summer colours at the moment!

Next is my prized possession, MAKE-UP!!!

Half way through June, I went to Boots, I wanted to get the almighty Maybelline EyeStudio Lasting Drama Gel Eyeliner and they had 3 for 2 so I bought 2 mascaras as well - Maybelline Volum' Express Falsies, I heard so much about so snatched it up! And then I got Maybelline Volum' Express One-by-One, I hadn't heard much but figured it was the new mascara! I am in love with this, I can't rave enough about it! I got some TRESemmé Dry Shampoo last week, which I am deeply in love with!!!

Next I was in MAC, I got alot here! Spent a small fortune!
I got Eight Lipsticks, Six Eye shadows, Two Blushes, A Paint pot and A Gel Eyeliner.

And included is that is a giveaway I won, I'll start off with that, I won a DGS Beauty Giveaway. Unbelievably shocked! I won a Lipstick, a Blush and a Fluidline (Gel Eye Liner). The Lipstick is from the Viva Glam range in Viva Glam V, which I seriously am loving now because of this. The Blush is Fleur Power, which is a a beautiful pinkish coral. And the Fluidline is in Blacktrack, which is a must have by all beautylovers! Believe it or not, I contemplated buying all these in the past month, lucky I waited, I don't know why I did! I think I bought the Maybelline EyeStudio Lasting Drama Gel Eyeliner instead of the MAC one! These all arrived this week!

A month ago I bought a Lipstick, and two Eye Shadows. The lipstick is Saint Germain, which I've been lusting after for months now. The two eye shadows were Swiss Chocolate and Handwritten. The MUA who did my makeup used both of these with Cranberry, which I own, to create a smokey eye with a sort of red tint through it!

A few days after I went back and I got Two Eye Shadows in Woodwinked, Naked Lunch, A blush in Dollymix and A Bronzer from the Surf Baby Collection in Pressed Powder.

Another few bold days later, I was in town, and I've been to MAC everyday that I've been in town in the past four months! Well on this day I bought Ruby Woo Lipstick, And Two Eye Shadows in Prussian and Aquadisiac!

I wanted a Lipstick from the Surf Baby Collection before it came out, then not so much, now I'm kicking myself I didn't get Hibiscus because when I wanted it, it was out of stock.. But don't worry about me, they got it back online so I ordered it of MAC UK and it should be here next week! Seeing as I couldn't get that, when I was in MAC I swatched Mocha from the same collection. Mocha has to be the most Amazing Lips but Better colour. I was also given some MAC Face Charts because I plan on Making a Face Chart book.

Seeing as I missed Hibiscus, I was making sure I wasn't missing Ever Hip from Fashion Flower Collection, which I had been eyeing up since the collection was announced, and it had gotten the same ravings and everyone wanted it like Hibiscus had, so I was preparing not to miss it! So I snatched it up straight away, I got Gem of Roses from the Semi Precious Collection as well!

I got Vegas Volt from Back to MACing six empty containers; three foundations, a powder, a blus and a mascara. Adding my lipsticks up to Eight from this haul.

Then the day before yesterday I went in and bought Painterly Paintpot.

All pictures are my own.

Have you being buying? What do you think of these purchases?

Thanks, Aislinn

June Favourites '11

This being my first favourite I'm unsure on how I will structure it! So I'm just going to start typing and hope it'll come out okay. So my makeup everyday reach fors were:

As usual my reach for foundation was MAC Studio Fix Fluid in NW20. Such a great foundation. Great full coverage! MAC foundation is a hit or miss, love or hate! And I love them! :) Studio Sculpt, Studio Tech, Studio Plus Powder, Select, Pro Longwear, I have and love them all!

For eye shadows, MAC eye shadows are my go to for a long time now. The colour pay off is worth the extra couple of euros from a drugstore brand, and the colour variety is just out of this world. I don't know can I pick just one so I'm going to say Satin Taupe, Woodwinked, Sketch and Handwritten.
I think that's my most go to four. I've had Black Tied, which is a black shimmer, for a long time now and I love it. All four are late May/early June purchases. Satin Taupe and Woodwinked are alike in pan but so different in swatch and on eye. They both are shimmery browns, Satin Taupe is a frost and Woodwinked a veluxe pearl. Sketch is the most beautiful purple ever! I'm in love with this burgundy velvet, it has a red shimmer in it which makes it so different, it's great for lid, crease, under-eye. Handwritten I love wearing with Swiss Chocolate! on the lid, blended together. Just an unbelievable all rounder. I've been loving smokey eyes and dramatics.

Mascara and eyeliner I've estranged from my usual MAC products. I am loving Maybelline Volum' Express One by One mascara or Volum' Express The Falsies, I think One by One is just amazing, it seperates the lashes so effortlessly unlike a lot of mascaras, this just doesn't clump!

Eyestudio Lasting Drama Gel Eyeliner is the most amazing gel eyeliner, it comes with a brush too, so if you don't have a angled eyeliner on hand, this brush would work a charm.

MAC Dollymix blush has been my go to cheek product, well I have two cheek products but blush-wise. It is the most amazing hot pink blush!

My other go to face product is a new bronzer from the MAC surf baby collection, the Studio Careblend/Pressed Powder in Lush-Light Bronze. The detailing on it is so cool. MACMACMACMACMACMAC. I got both this and the blush new and I've literally being using them everyday.

For lips, MAC lipstick same reason as for MAC eyeshadows, the colour pay off is amazing, and range of colours is just incredible. I think I'm going to say, this is so hard - I think I'm going to split it to two everyday and one other - Naked Paris and Viva Glam Gaga LE, well not together but they were my main lips for June, and Riveting Rose LE for when I want to amp it up.

And my go to brush; my everyday lifesaver, holy grail, can't worship enough brush is any eyeshadow blending brush. It has to be the one thing I could give to any girl, and it would change each and every one of those girls lifes. MAC 217 or a Sigma E25 are my goto's :)! :)

1. MAC Studio Fix Fluid - NW20.
2. MAC Eyeshadows - Satin Taupe, Woodwinked, Sketch and Black Tied.
3. Maybelline Volum' Express One by One mascara.
4. Maybelline Volum' Express The Falsies mascara.
5. Maybelline EyeStudio Lasting Drama - Blackest Black.
6. MAC blush - Dollymix.
7. MAC Surf Baby Studio Careblend/Pressed Powder - Lush-Light Bronze.
8. MAC Lipstick - Naked Paris, Viva Glam Gaga LE and Riveting Rose LE.
9. Blending Brush - MAC 217 Blending Brush/Sigma E25/No7 Eyeshadow Blend and Contour Brush.

I look forward to hearing all your favourites, please post them for me in the comments; face, eyes, cheeks and lips. It's that easy!

All pictures are my own, except Sigma and MAC brushes, which I got off Sigma and MAC websites.

HAVE YOU USED ANY OF THESE? WHAT'S YOUR JUNE FAVOURITES?

MAC makeup and Sigma brushes help

Hello Everyone :) I was in need to get some new makeup so I decided I'd get my makeup done in MAC because the redeemable on product offer. My makeup turned out beautiful, I got a brown with a red tint smokey eye. She used Swiss Chocolate, Handwritten and Cranberry and coincidentally I have a list of eyeshadows I have to get and Swiss Chocolate and Handwritten were on it and I own Cranberry so I got them two and Saint Germain, I've been lusting over this for months! She used Prolongwear foundation and a cremeblend blush which I have the name of somewhere, them three eyeshadows and it made the most beautiful dramatic smokey eye, and Angel lipstick, it was quiet subtle but still like really nice. I was truly pleased with them! I did another MAC binge and got Woodwinked, Naked Lunch, Dollymix blush and Surf Baby Pressed Powder on Wednesday aswell as two Maybelline Mascaras and gel eyeliner which I've been dying to try all and I picked up a few bits of clothes so a haul is in order during the week.

Next, I have some questions about Sigma brushes, I'm getting a new set during the week for myself and a close friend of mine and I need your help here is the page - http://www.sigmabeauty.com/and here is a few brushes I'm looking to buy - Complete Kit with Brush Roll - Black or this 12 Brush Kit - Make Me Classy - Black It includes:
 Eyeliner - E05

Does anyone have experience with any of them brushes? Would you recommend them or not? I love the Blending - E25 - biggest lifesaver in the world, this brush is my holy grail. It has to be the most under-rated thing in the world. I can't stress how much of a difference this makes to your makeup.
This looks really cool aswell Dry'n Shape

Please if you have any Sigma brushes please tell me if you have any because I've only really looked at the ones in the brush roll. So please post in the comments if you recommend any and even if you don't have any, have a look on the website and tell me if you like any and think I should get them and do a review on them! I might even do a giveaway :) At the moment if you spend $30 there is a free gift, I think I'm going to get them soon so that offer will apply. And if you decide to get some after clicking my links and getting them brushes or just looking about the site and getting any of them please by all means tell me :)

DO YOU HAVE ANY SIGMA BRUSHES? DO YOU RECOMMEND THEM?

Thanks, Aislinn

My 5 Makeup Must Haves

My 5 Makeup must haves.. Oh wow this is hard! I think I'll do 4 Face products.. and something else to switch it up :)

1. MAC Studio Fix Plus Foundation - A setting powder and foundation in one. If used with foundation, it gives that extra coverage, if not used its still a foundation! After applying your makeup give a swipe of this with the puff sponge supplied, which I'm not really a fan off, I really think brushes are more easier and hygienic, plus the price works out alot better, seeing as you have to get a new sponge ever two weeks. I do love MAC Studio Fix Fluid though but just as a quick the powder is excellent as its a setting powder too, I would only rarely wear it on its own though.

2. MAC Powder Blush in Dollymix - such a beautiful blush, changes a look completely. I do love MAC Surf, Baby! Studio Careblend/Pressed Powder in Lush-Light Bronze, it is great too, even with this blush or not, and the design, LOVE! MACMACMACMACMACMAC!!

3. MAC Eyeshadow in Satin Taupe - such an amazing frost Taupe eyeshadow colour, goes with Woodwinked, Sable, All that glitters, Tempting, Brule and even more! I really don't know why it took me so long to find it.

4. Maybelline One by One Mascara - Best Mascara Ever - I loved MAC Plush Lash and was always was faithful, but this Mascara, ohh wow! It's a complete lifesaver :O Doesn't clump at all.

5. Last but not least I'm going to do a.. *drumroll please*.. brush! The MAC 222 Blending Brush, but for a cheaper version the No7 Blending and Contouring Brush or Sigma Blending E25 is the brush for you. It is the best thing anyone can ever buy. Anyone! It is the most essential thing for the perfect smokey eye!

And there my 5 makeup products I'd bring to an island incaese I'd be stranded. But I'm sure they'd have a drugstore or a MAC counter ;) WOW alot of my products are MAC, nearly all :O What are your 5 makeup must haves :) Please let me know, I'd love to know :)

WHAT ARE YOUR MAKEUP MUST HAVES?
